B a r l e a u x emerged onto the scene last year with her debut LP Hillary Barleaux. A natural vagabond and adventurer, B a r l e a u x releases “Fire,” a track with a steady build and a sweeping arrangement. “’Fire’ is about leaning into that dark side when explaining to someone that you have problems with commitment.”
"Fire" is a smokey, trumpet-led tune, with dream pop undertones and coy vocals. The track is a transition between B a r l e a u x’s folk roots and her affinity for electronic sounds, showcased in her upcoming EP to be released on A f t e r n o o n s m o d e l i n g this fall.
