It feels like it’s been a moment since we’ve come across Avery Rosewater in a live setting. The local outfit, fronted by Arches’ Julien Rossow-Greenberg, is a freewheelin’ rock ‘n’ roll band that doesn’t shy away from dreamy reverb on the vocals. They shared a digital single, “Jeff 24,” this past spring, which felt reminiscent of earlier War on Drugs tracks. Avery Rosewater will be opening tonight at Johnny Brenda’s for former Deli NYC print cover boys and girl, People Get Ready, who are particularly known for their entertaining live performances.
