San Francisco based garage soul band, Solwave has released a new single entitled, I Won’t Wait.  This new invigorrating single was produced by Gordon Raphael (The Strokes) and mastered by Richard Dodd (Kings Of Leon), and highlights the high energy soulful style of this rock and roll outfit. Solwave is a veteran band with over 100 songs under their belt, but the music doesn’t stop coming! So you shouldn’t stop listening!

Six piece, San Francisco based indie gypsy rock band, Stages of Sleep is releasing debut album after a tedious and drawn out musicial process of completing their 2013 effort, Carousel. Stages of Sleep’s new album is well produced and creatively pop oriented. The music is touching and the band’s compositional talent and musicianship is admirable.

We’re excited to announce that San Francisco based folk/country record label, Secret Sevens Records is releasing a new album from the late country hero, Blaze Foley. Foley, who died in 1989 and influnced iconic musicians like Townes Van Zandt and Lucinda Williams, recorded this forthcoming album entitled, Cold Cold World with his band The Beaver Valley Band between 1979 and 1980.

Secret Sevens Records will be releasing this album in July 2013. In the meantime, you can hear the title track Cold Cold World right here at The Deli San Francisco!

San Francisco, indie pop band, Vela Eyes is celebrating the release of their new EP tomorrow at the Elbo Room. Bay Area based experimental avant rock band, Makeunder has released a new music video for their single, "To the Ladder". This highly imaginitive and unique musical outfit is made up of six core members who create artistically off kilter music that exudes tonal influences from experimental composer Bela Bartok and new wave geniuses The Talking Heads. Because of Makeunder’s unique musical influences they create music that stands on its own as pure avant art music. 

Congratulations to the San Francisco based avant folk psych rock band, The Visibles for winning The Deli Magazine San Francisco‘s Artist of the Month Poll. This band’s loyal followers have voted them the cream of the crop this month, and with good reason! This band’s self titled full length album is a mellow and groovy 60’s throwback album that possesses musical soundscapes similar to The Beatles and 60’s Brit Pop.

Bay Area based indie band, The Mantles release a new single called Shadow of Your Step. This is a softly beautiful indie pop track that make the band’s upcoming full length album, Long Enough to Leave an appealing future release. The new LP is due out on Slumberland Records on June 18th, but until then, enjoy Shadow of Your Step which is posted below!

Oakland based garage rock band, Shannon and the Clams were the stars of a mini documentary entitled, AMERICAN MUSIC Ep 6: Shannon and the Clams. The video is available on youtube and highlights the band’s philosophy and experience of being such an iconic musical outfit.

This documentary is also a foreshadow of an upcoming three month tour that Shannon and the Clams will be embarking on this year. Check back for more info and dates of the tour!

The sensual and elegant indie rock band, There’s Talk, which started off as a solo project by singer/songwriter Olivia Lee, has released a new single entitled, The Salt. This new band is quietly emerging into the San Francisco rock scene, as their music is touching, and has the potential make waves as a softly mesmerizing local music project.

The intense neo psych rock band, Electric Shepherd will be performing live next week at Thee Parkside in San Francisco, CA on June 1st. This eclectic rock and roll outfit’s music is a culmination of 60’s revival psych rock with contemporary touches. Electric Shepherd will be sharing the bill with other talented psych rock bands, Mark Matos and Os Beaches, Buzzmutt and Linear Fall from Nashville. Make sure you catch this show!

Multi instrumental, indie rock musician, Split Screens is embarking on a short Northwestern tour with Fox and Woman. This talented solo musician whose given name is Jesse Cafiero, creates soundscapes that are mellow and entrancingly beautiful. Cafiero has knack for composing tracks that are tastefully abstract and psychedelic, but still maintain an accessible folk foundation that makes his music hard to deny.
