Fledgling local psych rock outfit Needle Points has a new music video for their debut single "I Drink Rainfall." The outrageous five-piece is really making us want to already call it a day, take a bunch of psychedelics, and go splashing around in a creek to beat this heat. Calgon, take me away!

Paste Magazine‘s Live at Aloft Hotels series just posted their session with Philly’s own Toy Soldiers, which was recorded in Washington D.C. and can be viewed HERE. It is a performance of the song "Heart in a Mousetrap" from their EP Tell The Teller. The guys are currently gearing up for the release of their forthcoming album The Maybe Boys, and they’ll be celebrating its arrival on September 13 at Johnny Brenda’s. However, if you can’t wait that long to see them, the band will also be performing at this year’s 52nd Annual Philly Folk Fest coming up in August.

This evening’s Tuesday Tune-Out at PhilaMOCA continues to be curated by independent promoters/musicians Brendan Mulvihill and Andy Molholt. Invited this evening to perform will be Buffalo Stance, the project from Man Man’s funky Moog synth maestro Jamey Robinson. Whether playing alone or with his talented community of musician friends, Robinson always lays down some sweet grooves intermingled with his oddball pop stylings. He’ll be opening for Burlington, VT import Ryan Power, who will also be celebrating the release of his new album Identity Picks (NNA Tapes). Following the performances, there will be a screening of the 1971 classic and less creepy version of Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. Come out and feel like a child again! Baroness premiered yesterday at Pitchfork a scorching version of "Cocainium" (which you can listen to below) from their forthcoming live EP that was recorded at the BBC’s Maida Vale studio. The song originally appeared on last year’s critically-acclaimed full-length album Yellow & Green. The band’s new record Live at Maida Vale is slated for release on July 23 via Relapse Records.

Check out Daughn Gibson hanging out in one sketchy ass dive bar for his new music video for the track "Kissin on the Blacktop," which was directed by Jeremiah Rouse and is off his latest album Me Moan (Sub Pop). You can catch him perform live at a much less shady place on Friday, August 16 at Johnny Brenda’s.

Bad Braids (a.k.a. Megan Biscieglia) just shared a new music video last night for the track "Palace," which appears on her latest LP Supreme Parallel (Haute Magie). The footage was pieced together by her friend Diana Martinez, who filmed it on a road trip 10 years ago.

Here’s a rad, chill new track from UK duo Silent Dust (a.k.a. Dan Blishen and Andy Hobbs) called "Machina," which was released by none60 and is available for free download. It features beautiful vocals from Cloudeater and ominous, tag-team verses from Philly emcees Zilla Rocca and Curly Castro.

Modern Baseball and The Hundred Acre Woods are putting out a split tomorrow via local indie label Lame-O Records. It features two unreleased tracks ("All I Love" & "Left of the Hill") from The Hundred Acre Woods and one unreleased track ["(240)"] from Modern Baseball as well as fan favorite "Re-do" off their LP Sport. They shared it last week with NYC-based music blog Property of Zack, where you can stream the release in its entirety.

The Space Migration Tour with Meek Mill and Mac Miller invaded Festival Pier last night. Meek also brought his son "Papi" on stage, which he claimed that he had never done before.
