Local psych-grunge crew Creepoid just premiered the first single from their sophomore self-titled LP called "Sunday," over at Noisey. So it looks like you’ve found a new track to laze your weekend away with. The full-length album is scheduled to drop on March 4 via No Idea Records, and the band’s record release show will be on Thursday, February 27 at Johnny Brenda’s.

Funky soul rockers You Do You are all set to celebrate the release of their appropriately titled debut EP, The Sweet Sounds of the Funky Sounds, tonight at the North Star Bar, and they’ll definitely be delivering an ample amount of both. The group features members of The Externals, The New Connection, Crills Wilson, and Electric Sex Power. Whether it’s with a soulful keyboard-laden tune like “Wait a Minute” or a quirky new country lament like their debut single “Darling My Dear,” they have been gaining notoriety for their polished instrumentals and multiple vocal parts. They’ll be joined by the guitar-charged alt-country group Tin Horses, who is led by Purling Hiss bassist Kiel Everett. After bringing an end to his music career as Xaphoon Jones (of Chiddy Bang), Noah Beresin continues on producing under the moniker Noah Breakfast. And since he enjoyed working on Wet’s self-titled EP so much, Beresin decided to do a remix of the Brooklyn group’s track "No Lie" with a little help from his buddy Spank Rock. Truck North has a new music video for the guitar riff-heavy track "Cry For You." It’s the third single off his forthcoming EP Murder By Mourning. The video was directed by Davd Little.

Dr. Dog is going on an extensive U.S. tour with New Jersey’s Saint Rich (Merge Records) that will find the acts hitting the road towards the end of this month until well into March. The two have also teamed up to release a free digital release, Casual Freefall Tour EP, available via NoiseTrade, where you’ll find the bands covering each other’s songs (Dr. Dog’s "Rock & Roll" and Saint Rich’s "Dreams") and sharing originals of their own. The tour will be rolling into Philly on January 31 and February 1 with The Districts opening the first show and Saint Rich taking over the duties for the second one. We’ve shared plenty of words with you lately about The Hundred Acre Woods so here’s an acoustic performance of "City Lights," one of our favorites from their new EP Cold In The Morning, which is now available on vinyl via Lame-O Records. It was recorded in their van by Table Three Media, and should be a nice warm-up for the band’s release show this evening at Golden Tea House with Alex G, SHMNS, I Kill Giants, and Au Revoir.

With all the drama happening at the bass position and the output of subpar new tunes, you are probably thinking like we are. What the fuck happened to the Pixies? Well, here’s an adorable little ditty from ex-Catnaps frontwoman Adrianne Gold and bassist William Sallee’s new project Tender Vision called "I Hate Change," which might help express how you are feeling into song. "I hate change. Kim, why did you leave me? I miss the Pixies." Tender Vision are currently working on their debut album entitled "Trust Lust."
