Local metal gods Baroness just shared a new music video for the track "Try To Disappear," found on the band’s latest album Purple, the group’s first since its horrific tour bus accident in 2012. Barrett Lindgren (Ghost Light) is back fronting his new project Permanent Body, where he is joined by Loose Tooth‘s Kyle Laganella on guitar and Kiani Sorouri on bass and Robyn Campbell (Blowdryer) hitting the skins. On their self-titled debut EP, the group balance the unraveling, infectious breakouts with a reeled-in, lyrical eye for isolation. Admitting personal shortcomings, reflecting on words left unsaid, miscommunications, etc., the album serves as a melodic collection of catharsis. Permanent Body will be performing next in Philly on Sunday, September 25 at PhilaMOCA with LVL UP and Marge.

Man Like Machine‘s Joshua Bright continues to explore on his own, and has new material to share. Take a listen to his latest journey into the sonic stratosphere called "Orpheus". It will be found on Bright’s upcoming sophomore LP And All Along A Wolf, which is scheduled for release on October 3 via Collapsible Empire.

The trio of Delco Pacers has issued a new release Bazaar Days. With additional contributions from Nick Cislak (Commonwealth Choir) and Jared Loss, the music plunges into fragile points of rolling expression. There’s a subdued reflective side that’s ready to burst at the instrumental seams, while coasting, breathy, melodic rock notes lay in wait.

Below is the latest single from Virginia transplants Left & Right called "Mouse Drum". Philly quartet Joy Riding is made up of music vets from such indie acts as  Makeout Party, Decathlete, It’s a King Thing, and Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A Start, and you can hear it in the band’s songwriting. Crafting unbelievably catchy powerpop tunes, it’s hard to imagine the next album that they are currently working on won’t get picked up by a label. Tonight will be one of their rare appearances outside the the studio this summer. The serenity of precisely woven vocal harmons reign supreme in Out Of Town Films trio of videos documenting The Dove & The Wolf. “The Smell Of Us” enlists a loving, lingering nostalgia amid change, while “On The Other Side” gradually steps out as the sun rises, returning from a journey and branching forward as the tempo led by percussion transitions ahead. “Seven Days” details the emotional and mental reflections felt after the November attacks at Batalcan.

The Boston transplants bring a refreshing air of unpredictability – never afraid to test the boundaries with each sonic excursion. Ursula will be opening for Laser Background, the psych-pop project from the mind of Andy Molholt, this evening at DIY space BMA.
