Buzz Alert! High Waisted unveils new video for “Trust” + tours
With such a touch-and-go winter, I’m not going to be convinced that the first day of Spring has actually arrived until all of the snow has melted off my front lawn. Grim Streaker to lay down some noise-indie-garage vibes at Cape Town 3/25

Dirty Blondes to bring their slow garage-psych jams to Cape House tonight (03.22)
While there are a few bands operating under the Dirty Blondes monkier populating various reaches of the internet, the Brooklyn-based fourpiece is the only group that really lives up to the name–laying down growling, blitzed out garage-psych jams that could have easily just rolled out of bed. The band busts out tracks with jangly guitars, lax vocals, and the dynamic deftness of the Pixies, but the delicious layer of lo-fi fuzz is what will really leave you feeling dirty. Catch Dirty Blondes live at Cape House tonight (3/22) alongside Surf Rock is Dead, Better Head, and DA POP, but in the meantime, you can get your fix by streaming them below. – Olivia Sisinni
Pysch Andre Salvador and the Von Kings drop two new tracks
Andre Salvador and the Von Kings, aka Brooklyn-based Tim Cheplick (and friends), are crafting tasty psych/indie tunes that feel modern and foward thinking rather than reflective. The project just released two new tracks that showcase the group’s strong songwriting sensibilities and pop prowess. The A-side to the release, a bouyant tune called "Quarter Century Girl," features strident, driving piano chords and delicious slide guitar playing paired with Cheplick’s silvery vocals–a decidely radio ready track with a hook primed to be your next earworm. Premiere: Road trip vibes take Pueblo back home in new music video
Texas transplants, Pueblo, moved to Brooklyn last year, taking with them the ease and warmth of the southern state. These characteristics define the band’s sound, especially in the new video for their song “Dictating Directions.” In footage depicting a road trip adventure, the tempered beats of the percussion glide alongside a smooth electric guitar and soft, laid-back vocals. The slowed motion of the video is trance-like, and the whole thing feels like a dream. Perhaps it is. Pueblo’s new EP Boring The Camera is out March 31 and catch them live tonight, 3/17 at Trans Pecos. -Geena Kloeppel

United Nations releases new single “Stairway to Mar-a-Lago”
While the current presidential administration might bode poorly for minorities, women, and maybe the way we look at Twitter, we can at least rejoice that the next four years will show a defiant uptick in relevant punk music. And man, is the United Nations doing the lord’s work. The Brooklyn-based band–that may/may not be a supergroup–recently released "Stairway to Mar-a-Lago," a single whose release coincided with the recent inaugural ceremony and features the band’s signature blend of unhinged, frenetic instrumentals, screeching vocals, and sweepingly anthemic breakdowns. The group is kind of everything you’d want out of a 2017 punk band: killer tunes are matched with headstrong messages, angst and an appetite for the controversial. Check out the band’s latest single, streaming below. – Olivia Sisinni
