Calico Plaid “Self​-​Indulgent”

Punk duo Calico Plaid have released their latest album, Self-Indulgent, the follow-up to 2019’s Crumbled Up.

This is the work of Camille Willaford (Vocals) and Nic Cheatle (Guitar/Bass/Drums). Self-Indulgent includes several singles including "Fruit" which was released back in December and is accompanied by the video below.

Jangle Pop group CalicoLoco has release a timely and poignant new single called "Zeke Goes to Lala".

This is the work of Dani Robles (Vocals/Guitar/Synthesizer), Curran Chapman (Vocals/Guitar), Sara Dodge (Bass), Zeke Ramsey (Guitar), and Ricky Georgen (Drums).

Dorothy Carlos “And Found”

Cellist and sound artist Dorothy Carlos has released the first single, "And Found", from her forthcoming album, Circuit Spectre, which is due out via American Dreams on September 9th.

For this project she teamed up with the Brooklyn-based Synth design Brian Oakes and the album was recorded exclusively using his Untitled Sound System synth.

Alt Metal quartet Dust Biters are preparing to release their latest album, Guilt, on August 16th. The group recently the album’s latest singles "Progeny" and "Lushed Up".

This is the work of Nick Kinsley, Nick Miller, Bryan Fonseca, and Tommy R van Arsdale.

Jazz Fusion Sextet Cordoba has released a new single called "In Hell". This is the group’s second single, following February’s "Not My Own", since the release of their 2020 album, Specter.

Cordoba is the work of Brianna Tong, Eric Novak, Cam Cunningham, Zach Bain-Selbo, Khalyle Hagood, and Zach Upton-Davis.

Alt Rock quartet Red Scarves have released a new single, their first since 2019’s Annuals, called "DKHTBA".

This is the work of Robby Kuntz (lead vocal, drums, piano), Braden Poole (guitar, vocals), Ayethaw Tun (guitar, vocals), and Ryan Donlin (bass, piano scratches, vocals)

The single proves that impressive art can be found in some our darkest moments.
