Fran “Limousine”

Fran has released the latest single, "Limousine", from their forthcoming sophomore album, Leaving, which is due out via Fire Talk Records on January 20th. The new single is accompanied by the Reilly Drew directed video below.

This is the project fronted by the talented singer/songwriter Maria Jacobson. For this album she enlisted the help of Brian Sulpizio, Bret Koontz, Jake Acosta, Ashley Guerrero, Macie Stewart, Whitney Johnson, and more.

Elizabeth Moen “Wherever You Aren’t”

Elizabeth Moen has released the latest single and title track, "Wherever You Aren’t", from her forthcoming album which is due out on November 11th.

“This song is about coming back to a place you know someone from your past will be,” Moen says. “As good as it would be to run into them, striking up a conversation would only strike up old pain. Sometimes the best thing is to just smile and keep trying to move forward. Wherever you are, wherever you aren’t, that’s okay.”

You can help Moen celebrate the release of the album at the Hideout on December 9th with Free Range.

Joshua Virtue “RAMA”

Joshua Virtue of Free Snacks and UDABABY recently released his third solo album, RAMA. Virtue does it all on this album, but is assisted on two tracks by Skech185 (vocals), Lyn Rye (bass), and Brianna Tong (Cordoba) (vocals).

Virtue is currently on tour with NNAMDÏ, and this is a pairing that may just define the future of Hip Hop in Chicago.

This is catchy Indie Rock with a touch of dream pop, and heavy nods to the early ’90’s.

Tenci “Sour Cherries”

Tenci has released the latest single, "Sour Cherry", from their forthcoming album, A Swollen River, A Well Overflowing, which is due out via Keeled Scales on November 4th.

This is the group fronted Jess Shoman, and joining her is Curtis Oren on saxophone and guitar, Izzy Reidy on bass (Izzy True), and Joseph Farago on drums (Joey Nebulous).
