Arc In Round Popping Up at Silk City Nov. 11

If you’re a fan of Arc In Round, then I’d suggest for you to swing by Silk City tonight because you never know when they’ll be popping up again with members of the local kraut-gaze crew keeping busy on other projects. Frontman Jeff Zeigler is always manning the boards at his Eraserhood studio, Uniform Recording, and his ambient improvisational noise project with harpist Mary Lattimore continues to increase the duo’s notoriety in the avant-garde music world. Bassist Josh Meakim has been recently fronting a new band of his own, The Fantastic Imagination, and he should be busy touching the shores of foreign lands next year when A Sunny Day in Glasgow release their next album. He also spends his spare time recording local up-and-coming acts. Mikele Edwards has been working on solo recordings of her own. And former drummer Matt Ricchini is currently travelling the world doing sound for Baroness. I hear that the group will set up like a synth army so expect something different this evening when they are joined by Chicago’s Mako Sica, Proexhibitors, Ron Tubman and DJ Joe Patitucci (a.k.a. Tadoma). Silk City, 435 Spring Garden St., 8pm, $8, 21+ – H.M. Kauffman
