Delving into a slightly darker, heavier approach to songwriting with psychedelic guitar work splattered all over their latest EP 2×2, Adam & Dave’s Bloodline released their most impressive body of work to date earlier this year. The album was recorded on analog between Big Mama’s Warehouse and MilkBoy Studios, and was released via local indie label Founding Fathers Records. Tonight at Johnny Brenda’s, the Philly quintet will be opening Mark Mulcahy, former frontman for Miracle Legion and Polaris (who was the house band for the television series The Adventures of Pete & Pete). Also conjuring up beloved sounds from the past this evening will be Joey Sweeney & the Long Hair Arkestra. Johnny Brenda’s, 1201 N. Frankford Ave., 9pm, $12, 21+ – H.M. Kauffman
