We are suckers for mellow, psychedelic bands with sulrty female vocalists. That’s why we are writing about Brooklyn group Metal Mountains and their droney single "Structures in the Sun" (streaming below), full of references to the glorious days when acid was the shit, and the Hammond organ the hippest of keyboards. A violin – filtered through guitar pedals – adds an extra layer of beauty. The band released a 7 track album a few months ago (you can find it on Spotify), that’s consistently mellow, dreamy and… drumless. Check them out live at Baby’s All Right on Sunday March 23 with Zachary Cale.
We added this song to The Deli’s playlist of Best Psychedelic songs by emerging NYC artists – check it out!
