Brian Weza recently released the lead single, “The Way Out is In”, from his forthcoming debut album, Fizzles, which is due out on November 21st via We Be Friends Records.
The album is constructed from a library of custom spliced tape loops that were created over the span of seven years. The tape loops of ‘Fizzles’ were created as a part of a meditative and holistic approach to maintaining presence, escaping the blue glow of our electronic devices, and discovering the different ways music can soothe the anxieties we face. In some of the pieces, Weza collaged and improvised over these loops for this release.
