Saxophonist Shawn Maxwell and Jazz vocalist Keri Johnsrud have teamed up on a new album, C8H10N4O2, which is due out on November 29th. We are proud to be able to premiere the album’s lead single, “Chaos”, which can be streamed below.
The album takes its title from the chemical compound, C8H10N4O2, which is the chemical compound also known as caffeine. With that in mind the duo, with the help of Tom Vaitsas (fender rhodes & wurlitzer), Tim Seisser (bass), and Lucas Gillan (drums), take the listener through a typical day and the various ways and times C8H10N4O2 is consumed.
