Are you ready to be saved? No? Neither am I, but I am very pumped to get out of my apartment tonight after all this sleet and snow. Where will I be? Communion is bringing their monthly music showcase once again to Underground Arts. The event connects rising national/international touring acts with some of your favorite locals. This evening features former Deli NYC Emerging Artist of the Year, Caveman, whose intelligent indie pop is so good for the soul. They’ll also be supported by indie-rock heartthrobs Commonwealth Choir, uber-catchy, buzzing indie-popsters Cruiser, Damn Right! (who will be accompanied by Grimace Federation’s Wes Schwartz on guitar, and we also heard that they’ve been moving away from their former jam-band sound to something in the vein of dreamy Washed Out meets Tycho), and much more. Now, let us pray. Underground Arts, 1200 Callowhill St., 8pm, $15, 21+ – H.M. Kauffman
