Psychic Teens Bombard Boot & Saddle April 10th

Philadelphia band Psychic Teens are the kind of punk band that make stereotypical 1950’s housewives faint. Fresh off their SRA Records-produced sophomore album COME, their music is an application of the most self-aware sort of shoegazing post punk drenched in the reckless abandon of 80’s metal. Specifically, imagine Bauhaus and Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet in a blender. They’re bringing their uniquely grungy, wry, and downright insane brand of prog-punk to Boot and Saddle in what is sure to be an all-out blitzkrieg on your ability to hear the next day. They’ll be joined this Thursday by trippy, massively theatrical heavy rock band The Cassavetes and opener Sad Actor. Boot & Saddle 11131 S. Broad St., 8pm., $10, 21+ – Daniel Ludwig
