Hot Guts, which features the combination of Wes Russell and Shari Vari (Void Vision), continue to travel down their dark and winding path of music with the band relying more heavily on drum-machine beats and elongated synth notes cutting through them. The group just released its first LP as a duo yesterday, entitled Wilds, via Avant! Records. And tonight, they’ll welcome its inception in Underground Arts recently renovated Black Box alongside fellow locals Harsh Vibes, where metal and noise meet LSD. The bands will also be playing host to Dream Police, which is made up of members of The Men, and Brooklyn’s Honey. Underground Arts, 1200 Callowhill St., 8pm, $12, All Ages – Alexis V.
