Tonight the star gazing power pop of Arc in Round will come to life when they host Brooklyn’s Grooms (Kanine/Death by Audio) and Chicago’s Roommate at the Philadelphia Mausoleum Of Contemporary Art or PhilaMOCA. Arc in Round is like a fantastic video game soundtrack with a sonic overhaul that is the work of production guru Jeff Zeigler. The astral synths tower over driving post-rock percussions and guitars in “Light” – off of Arc in Round’s latest release Diagonal Fields. Other tracks like “Slow Ceiling” demonstrate a hypnotic-gorgeous-adrift-at-sea vibe. Each song is meticulously crafted to have climaxes of cinematic proportions and the results are dreamy, soaring epics. Below is a live in-store performance video of Arc In Round’s "II" from Art In The Age. Opening the show is Ladies Auxillary. PhilaMOCA, 531 N. 12th St., 8pm, $8, All Ages – Adam G.
