The Living Kills pre-release party at Public Assembly on May 13

Psychedelic garage rockers, The Living Kills, are celebrating the completion of their upcoming album "Faceless Angels," with a pre-album release party at Public Assembly May 13, also featuring The Tablets, Indian Rebound, author readings, and food, book, music, and alcohol giveaways. WNYC Culture had this to say about the band’s 7-inch, "Like dutiful musical offspring of the Velvet Underground, the Living Kills play the kind of dark, psychedelic rock that sounds like it should’ve drifted out of the windows of the Factory in its ’60s heyday." And in the year since, they’ve only continued to evolve, adding texture and polish to their songs. Special guest Liz Godoy of the Tablets will join them singing back-up. – (as posted in The Deli’s Open Blog – post your band’s entries, videos, and Mp3s here).
