With a name like The Holy Mess, you expect plenty of beers to be drank and spilled during their set as strangers’ bodies fly into each other. An eclectic mix of pop punk and soul, their music allows for a smooth blend of raging and shoving between ecstatic hi fives. The local foursome’s pop melodies complimented with primal yells and adrenaline-filled riffs create a somewhat familiar yet innovative sound that will pack plenty of sweaty bros onto the often perspiration-soaked dance floor of The Barbary this evening. The Holy Mess will be opening for Dear Landlord, which is made up of members from Copyrights, Houseboat, Off with Their Heads, and Gateway District, along with dirty Jerz’s Banquet and fledgling local outfit Luther.
