The ghost folk project Psalmships will be playing a show at Danger Danger Gallery tonight. Joshua Britton has been making music with the help of many talented Philly friends, and has been churning out a fairly prolific amount of recorded material ever since, including his first record of live material collected and released earlier this week on Baby, I’m Wild. In the album, the creaky intimacy of his music is fully captured. His vocals, reminiscent of Jason Molina of Songs: Ohia, is an Americana baritone that is as haunting as the songs themselves. Also performing are NYC’s The Loom, who put on a killer live show, and locals Annachristie of Sisters 3 and Former Belle. It should be a great night of folk in our favorite West Philly DIY staple.
