Conversations with Enemies Video Premiere at WCL Aug. 11

When Conversations with Enemies set out to film their first music video for the song Night of the Living Dead from their debut album OK, Nowhere, they were aiming big. And the end result is a cavalcade of zombies, blood, gore, and The Extraordinaires’ Jay Purdy making his film debut as “Professor Samuel Fondsworth”. The band will be unveiling the fruits of their labor at World Café Live tonight, and they’ll also be playing their last local show before stepping into the studio to record their second full-length album. Below is a trailer for what you’ll be treated to this evening. Conversations with Enemies will be joined on the bill by electronic dance duo City Rain (who have recently launched a new promo LP, music video, and tunes of their own), the blazing rock & roll of Big Terrible, and the reggae-tinged pop stylings of The New Connection. World Cafe Live, 3025 Walnut St., 8pm, $13 – $18, All Ages – Bill McThrill
