Last week Chernobyl Collective Arts kicked off the Volume 2 Release of its zine BAM POW with its exciting new PhilaMYTHOS art party at PhilaMoca that featured food, beer, cinema viewing, and more. Tonight the collective will be closing out the art display with an equally fun reception that will feature a light show extravaganza courtesy of Eye Gate II, and performances from four great acts. Chernobyl originators Da Comrade! will be bring their rocked out acid jazz and painted-faced ballads to the stage. And they might also unveil some tracks from the new 7-inch single that they’ve been recording at Pittsburgh’s Ulja Factory. They’ll be joined by the effervescent minimalist duo Norwegian Arms who have been taking Philly by storm of late with a surge of shows popping up anywhere and everywhere. The showcase will also feature performances from Baltimore’s ultra-rad Secret Mountains and Lands & People. PhilaMOCA, 531 N. 12th St., 8pm, $7 – $10 donation, All Ages – Bill McThrill
