For their ambitious third album The Flood, Steve Goldberg and the Arch Enemies set out to create a major production that featured a HUGE ensemble of drums, bass, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, vocals, more vocals, violin, viola, cello, piano, trombone, trumpet, clarinet, flute, glockenspiel, handclaps, and various other percussive pieces. The bulk of it was recorded between Turtle Studios and Sweden in Northern Liberties, and the end result is a beautiful 5-song baroque pop EP that gives Goldberg and his friends/enemies much to celebrate and they’ll be doing just that tonight at Johnny Brenda’s. Joined them will be the indie pop orchestral arrangements of Cory Duncan’s ambitious project Oh! Pears who most recently kicked it with the BITBY crew for their fourth monthly episode. The show will also be opened by the always whimsical Arrah & the Ferns who are back from the road where they were supporting their new EP Soldier Ghost.
