If you attended the Johnny Goodtimes album release party, or TJ Kong & The Atomic Bomb’s Halloween Rock and Roll Murder Show last October, or the album release that Lightninging had in February, then you caught of glimpse of Underground Arts potential to be Philly’s next unique arts space. With the installation of a new PA system and some breathtaking lighting, it’s ready to take things to a whole new level. It’s slated to host the Spinning Leaves EP release party on April 27. But tonight R5 Productions and Making Time will be joining forces to present the Making Time Radio Project which will showcase the music of the extremely talented, LA-based experimental songbird Julia Holter and recently added local freak folk enchantress Fursaxa a.k.a. Tara Burke. And of course, Making Time’s leading super rad dood Dave P will be spinning some special sets before, in between, and during the performances. Come pop the cherry of the Making Time Radio Project! You know moments like this only happen once. (Well, that’s what she said.)
