We miss the days when Grandchildren performed their electro-acoustic orchestrations around Philly on a frequent basis. So we are obviously thrilled to hear that tonight’s PhilaMOCA show marked the first of three chances to see them this week since they’ll also be performing at Drexel University on Friday and at Fishtown’s Shadfest on Saturday. Tonight’s show will also be a huge one since they’ll be debuting new tunes from their upcoming album. And along with the mind-boggling insanity of DC’s Hume and Brooklyn’s The Dreebs, you’ll be treated to the prog psych melodies of Son Step who recently toured the Midwest.
