After releasing an impressive 15-track LP Long Lost/A History of Iniquity last year, The Chairman Dances wasted little time in setting out on their sophomore effort. The end result that these art rockers created is The Promise, a 10-song album centered around two fictional married couples: one at the start of their relationship and the other at the end. The band also cut a music video for its single A Voice in the Night (below), which was directed by Jonathon Brown. The Chairman Dances will be joined at their CD release celebration by The Mendles, who recently released a new music video for their track “Yes Sir,” which is available on their recent split album with Mean Cat. It should also be interesting when The Quelle Source take the stage since guest drummer Mark Rybaltowski will be filling in on drums for the first time since 2008. Kung Fu Necktie, 1250 N.
