Rock and Read Festival at The Rotunda Sept. 16

Philly’s Rock to the Future is a great organization that provides free music education and tutoring to lower-income students that wouldn’t normally be able to afford it. Today marks the return of their Rock and Read Festival, which will be taking place at The Rotunda this year. The purpose of the event is to promote a love for reading and literacy in our city. The event includes live story readings, poetry and music from the likes of The National Rifle, OhBree, Mike Bell & the Movies, Ted Nguyent and The Rock to the Future All Stars. Your donation goes directly to the organization for their programs, so come out, grab a book, hear some great local bands and support a great cause while you are doing it. The Rotunda, 4014 Walnut St., 5pm – 10pm, $5, All Ages – Dan Brightcliffe
