Super fuzzed-out garage-goth noise-makers Far-Out Fangtooth will be bringing their psychedelic doom and gloom to the basement of the First Unitarian Church tonight. The four-piece delivered an impressive LP last year via Siltbreeze Records, which earned them The Deli Philly’s October Album of the Month honors, and their 2012 EP The Thorns, which was recorded by Moon Women’s Justin Pittney and released by HoZac Records, is proving to be a sleeper favorite of mine with each listen. Get your fix this evening when Far-Out Fangtooth open for Phil Elverum’s Mount Eerie who will be in full band mode. First Unitarian Church, 2125 Chestnut St., 8pm, $12, All Ages – Alexis V.
