Night Sins & Hot Guts Opening for Cult of Youth at KFN Nov. 13

Doom and gloom vibes will be filling Kung Fu Necktie tonight when locals Night Sins and Hot Guts take its compact stage opening for Cult of Youth. Night Sins consist of members from Salvation, Mother Of Mercy and Nothing, and the trio brings in the chilly despair, industrial beats and sexy, macabre vocals of goth rockers past. The band released their first LP New Grave last month via Italian label Avant! Records. Hot Guts also take a stroll through the black-wearing genre with subdued tribal rhythms, ominous guitar riffs and eerie baritone vocals. While past contributions have come from co-founder Greg Frantz, Michael Reaser (FNU Ronnies), and Adam Cooper (Tickley Feather, Akasha Blade, the Chimeras), the current lineup is made up of frontman Wes Russell and Shari Vari (a.k.a. Void Vision). Kung Fu Necktie, 1250 N. Front St., 8pm, $10, 21+ – Alexis V.
