Avant-garde guitarist Nick Millevoi will be celebrating tonight at Ortlieb’s the release of his new collaborative album with Ed Ricart entitled Haitian Rail, which also features Travis Laplante and Ches Smith and is being released via Gaffer Records (vinyl) and New Atlantis Records (cassette). This will be the debut performance of the Ricart/Millevoi Quartet, and they’ve made some changes to the band with the addition of Dan Blacksberg on trombone and Kevin Shea on drums. It will most likely be Millevoi final performance in Philly before his European tour in September/October. There will also be a rare electric guitar set by Eric Carbonara and a solo performance by Lantern’s Zachary Fairbrother so come out and enjoy an evening of guitar wizardry. Ortlieb’s Lounge, 847 N. 3rd St., 9pm, $7, 21+ – Alexis V.
