Avery Rosewater Opening for Elf Power at The Boot & Saddle Oct. 6

Playing an opening set tonight at The Boot & Saddle is Avery Rosewater, featuring lead singer Julien Rossow-Greenberg (of Arches fame). The band will be laying down some devastatingly catchy pop-rock. I’m especially hoping to hear a few new tunes off their upcoming album, which is expected to be released this fall. The first single of this impending project, “Two Bridges,” recently hit the internet, and its mature and poppy sound left me wanting more. Also performing is the grungier half marching band/half indie mini-orchestra, Folklore. Fronted by Jimmy Hughes, who actually got his start in Athens, GA performing with the evening’s headliner. The jangling alt-rockers, Elf Power, have just announced October tour dates with Neutral Milk Hotel as well as news of a new album Sunlight on the Moon also prepped for release this month. The Boot & Saddle, 1131 S.
