After receiving such a random, beautiful spring-like day yesterday, we continue our journey through autumn towards winter with today’s drop in temperature, which we felt was the right time to share our latest Choice/Cuts featuring Bad Braids, a.k.a. Megan Biscieglia. We instantly fell in love with the freak-folk singer-songwriter once we heard the first syllable of her song leaving her lips. It was very clear to us that she’s a rare talent, and we wanted to share her gift with you so we invited Biscieglia into the studio to capture the beauty of her music on audio/video. We are delighted to premiere today the first of two brand new songs that we recorded with Bad Braids called “Jackal,” with its vocals and instrumentation providing a desolate and chilly landscape, draping you in veils of wintry eternal slumber like the Snow Fairy in Akira Kurosawa’s Dreams – truly hypnotic.
