The duo of Marian Hill, a.k.a. Jeremy Lloyd & Sam Gongol, have a new live Sperry Session over at Rolling Stone, which includes three songs from their album Sway – “One Time,” “Got It,” and “Whisky.” Lloyd’s tantalizing electronic beats create a cool jazz-infused, R&B foundation with that snappy percussion and casually magnetic bass melding with Gongol’s seductive, sultry vocals, morphing into a modern yet classic sound that in a live format injects Steve Davit’s sweet flurries of saxophone to provide an additional burst of energy and polish. Marian Hill is set to perform at the Made in America Festival in September, and also has a performance on October 1 scheduled at Union Transfer.
