Weekend Warrior, June 17 – 19

Slacker rockers Frontyards are throwing a celebration tonight at Underground Animal for their new single “Lemons,” which you can now stream below. Meandering at a leisurely stroll, the band offers little words of wisdom, before raunchy, soaring guitars takeover, breaking up the monotony of always being taught something. (The struggle is real, y’all.) It’s the group’s first offering from their upcoming album Sachi. Frontyards will be joined this evening by a couple of Deli Philly faves, the polaric musings of Linc Halloran’s Hello Shark and the emotive electro/acoustic-pop of Scotty Leicht’s Shelf Life. They’ll also be hosting out-of-towners, Virginia’s Two Inch Astronaut and NYC’s Dolly Spartans. Yes, you want to go underground tonight. Underground Animal, (Please contact one of the acts or venue for more info.), $7-$10, All Ages – Alexis V.
