Sommelier Opening for Laurel Halo at Berks Warehouse Oct. 7

Sommelier is the Philadelphia-based sound-sculpting duo of Cameron Potter and Virginia de las Pozas. Their most recent album, titled i said i’m not to be bothered, was released earlier this year via NYC label Sweat Equity. When Potter and de las Pozas separated from their respective music projects Deflector and Cc to collaborate as Sommelier, the result was a songcraft that is distinctly cerebral, while grounded in a sequence of pummeling grooves. Sommelier will be performing tonight at Berks Warehouse, and the event is co-presented by Philly booking collective All Mutable and Embalming Lately (Potter and de las Pozas’ tape label). The warehouse will host a stacked bill headlined by Laurel Halo, featuring sets by local artists Tether, Wolf Dem, and Diamond Girl. Visuals will be provided by Oceans of Fantasy.
