Cave People will release their debut album, Sinning Tree, digitally and on limited-run cassette (100) on October 28 via Stereophonodon Records. On that corresponding evening, they will participate in Hurry’s Halloween Spectacular at PhilaMOCA, alongside Eric Slick (Dr. Dog, Lithuania) and Cherry, which is led by former Kite Party member Russel Edling. Edling and Ben Walsh (Tigers Jaw) also joined Dave Tomaine on Sinning Tree. Its first single, “Hands,” snaps with the immediacy of backend, reinforced by the jangly buzz of guitar capitulating the melodically nostalgic but discouraged lyrical sentiment.
