His name may look hard to pronounce, but the heartland rock and americana delivered by Szlachetka (pronounced SLA-HET-KA) is easy to love. February marked the release of Szlachetka’s debut full length Heart of My Hometown which blends sweet, heartwarming folk ballads ("Wildflowers on the Highway") with the type of crunchy rock tracks you’d expect from vintage Tom Petty ("Until That Echo"), all wrapped up in a modern package a la Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit. If you missed him at 3rd & Lindsley last week, make sure to check out the record! And listen to "Heart of My Hometown" below. – Chris Thiessen
