Congratulations to Oh! Grandpa, our new artist of the month! While Murfreesboro might conjure up associations with house shows and Glossary’s skeleton friend, it’s time to add Oh! Grandpa’s punchy, piano-driven noise to the list. The trio draws influence from funk, rock, and blues with a very punk rock sensibility of pleasing their own aesthetics before anything else. Luckily, what Oh! Grandpa likes is right in line with what Deli readers like; it was an easy win for the band (that may or may not have anything to do with how fun it is to say their name.)
