Young Planet conjure that vintage boom bap sound replete with hard rhyming, thumping rhythms, and echoed out hooks. Their productions are clean, their themes are conscious and politically inclined, and their videos are beautifully produced. Eibol, not to be confused with the MC from Fingerprint Records, generates electronic-based beats which speak to MC Cidada’s ominous study on the ever forthcoming end-of-days. The rhyme patterns are clever and engaging and with a few more turns round the sun, Young Planet will undoubtedly show an even greater diversity of life.
