Album of the Month: Sleepy Kitty

Sleepy Kitty’s sophomore album, Projection Room, is wonderfully adventurous release from this talented duo. As a front woman Paige Brubeck proves that she has ability to wrap her vocals around a wide array sounds and styles. From the piano pop of "What Are You Gonna Do When You Find Bigfoot?" to the slow strut of "Batman: The Ride" to the driving garage sounds of "Nothing = You" Brubeck shines.

Providing the rhythmic backbone through is the other half of this duo, former Bound Stems drummer Evan Sult. Also a former member of Harvey Danger, Sult is a vet and consistently lays a steady and interesting foundation for Brubeck. The duo while Brubeck was attending the Art Institute and playing with Stiletto Attack. Since then the two have combined to create amazing music, art and more.

You can catch Sleepy Kitty @ Township to celebrate the release of Projection Room on Jan. 18th.
