Creepoid Opening for Obits at Underground Arts March 5

Hankering for a quick fix of melodrama and some intense shoegaze-y psych rock? Then get your ass down to Underground Arts tonight where Philly’s own Creepoid will be opening for Sub Pop’s Obits. Their grungy, slowcore-inspired tunes will have you entranced in no time. The band is currently working on the follow-up (which will also be released via No Idea Records) to their impressive full-length album Horse Heaven. Also on the bill will be basement-dwelling surf rockers LE Yikes SURF CLUB, who spent last summer touring the country in support of their record Yikes (Grizzly). Yeah – once again, the weathermen were full of shit about snow coming our way so you have no reason to miss this show. Underground Arts, 1200 Callowhill St., 7:30pm, $12, 21+ – Ed Newton
