There is a lot going on today in Philly, but I think that you really should swing by Bookspace this evening. It’s simply heartbreaking to see and hear what’s been going on to the people in Japan. There are so many innocent people suffering that surely don’t deserve to as a result of the horrific events that have devastated the country. And it is scary to think about how long it will take for the proud nation to fully recover if they ever actually do. Well, tonight you can help do your part and donate to Japan earthquake and tsunami relief while listening to some fine local acts Pet Milk, Arc In Round and Lantern, who are also generously donating their time and talents in Fishtown’s latest beloved performance space. You’ll also be treated to plenty of rockin’ tunes from Far-Out Fangtooth’s Joe and Nick who will be spinning throughout the evening and after the live music sets. All proceeds will go straight to the Japan relief effort. So come out and party for a good cause with some good peeps! Bookspace, 1113 Frankford Ave., 8pm, $10, 21+ – H.M. Kauffman
