Nightlands, the bedroom-pop side project of The War on Drugs bassist Dave Hartley, has given us one more thing to dream about via his recently-released free digital single, Covers. Recorded during his travels, Covers features his lulling, swoon-sweet take on Lindsey Buckingham’s 1981 classic "Trouble", plus his disquieting version of Scott Walker’s "Big Louise". Nightlands will also hit the road for a North American tour with Norwegian indie singer-songwriter Sondre Lerche starting May 31 in Toronto (with a stop in Philly at World Cafe Live on June 3). And it’ll be a busy time for Hartley–not only will he be opening as Nightlands for Lerche, he’ll also play bass in his band for the tour.
