New Track: “Probably Die” – Lizdelise

Posted on:

Lizdelise‘s Holy Matrimony is slated for release on February 1, but you can take a listen to her latest single, "Probably Die," below. Synth and vocals lift one into the clouds in a confessional, intimate, love letter kind of way. Expressing the impact of potential loss, whilst simultaneously describing the ability to bounce back, the song maintains an enchanting, rough-around-the-edges-in-all-the-right-places dynamic, with its crunchy guitars and siren vocals. You can catch Lizdelise at Silk City on Monday, January 21, supporting Tiger Oil‘s album release show, along with Death’s Dynamic Shroud.

A Deli Premiere: Fuel on Fire release cover EP “Them” on 1.18, plus new single on 2.1

Posted on:

See those dates? They reflect how busy Fuel on Fire have kept themselves coming into 2019. You may have seen their recent set at the Hard Rock on January 12th. But over the past year, the Doerfel Brothers have worked hard on getting a slew of releases ready for the winter. First up — which the Deli is proud to premiere — is Them, an EP chock full of covers of songs by the band’s favorite artists. The tracks come from titans who influenced Fuel on Fire’s sound, such as U2, Led Zeppelin, and Supertramp. To celebrate the release, the band will perform a show for the students and parents of Homer Pittard Campus School in Murfreesboro; the school’s choir appeared in a music video for the band’s cover of U2’s "With Or Without You". The show will consist of the premiere of the video, a mini-concert by Fuel on Fire, and a performance of "With Or Without You" by the band and the school’s choir.

Following the homage to their inspirations, the band’s single "Figured You Out" — a new original — will drop on February 1st. Remember: These four brothers released their single "Heartbreak" along with its music video last August. They’ve shown no sign of slowing down. Perhaps working so hard keeps them warm in this chilly winter weather? In any case, take a listen to the premiere of Them below. – Will Sisskind

It wouldn’t be remiss to call KOTA The Friend a “renaissance man”- the Brooklyn based rapper not only writes his own music, he cultivates his creative world by both producing and directing visuals for much of his work. This attention to detail has paid off too – since his 2016 debut Palm Tree Liquor, KOTA’s relaxed and honest songwriting has won him sold out shows and international tours, and on his most recent EP Anything.we were treated to collaborations with fellow New Yorkers Angel Haze and Chelsea Reject. KOTA The Friend will be playing Baby’s All Right on January 18th – listen to his latest track "CAMP", a laid-back musing on friends past and present, below. – Sunny Betz
