Exclusive Premier: Ghost Parade’s Newest Music Video: Low
We’re premiering the brand new music video from San Francisco based heavy indie rock band, Ghost Parade. The new track and music video are entitled Low, and explodes in your ear drums as this heavy power rock track holds no pretences of being mellow from the very first notes. In the video, Justin Bonifacio and George Woods jam with the rest of their talented band,in a sterile white room, giving the new song even more emphasis and forcing listeners to take notice to every word and riff the band performs.
Low is another single from the band’s full length LP, Foundation. Do yourself a favor and get into Ghost Parade and their new music. We have, and we’re into it. Check out the new music video for Low, below!

The Doctors Fox Bid Farewell to Boston July 26
The Doctors Fox will be waving goodbye to the ambivalent weather, obnoxious sports fans and passionate music lovers of the East coast in exchange for…well, more ambivalent weather, obnoxious sports fans and passionate music lovers, but in the Midwest. This Friday, July 26, the band will be playing a farewell show at Middle East Upstairs in Cambridge, MA. The band will be relocating to Chicago, and taking their upbeat folk-pop with them. I’d be more upset about this, but at least I know that their songs will now be spreading joy all around the shores of Lake Michigan.
The band will share the stage with a slew of other local acts, including Ryan Jackson Troika, OTP and Philip Cohen & The Boxers. NYC-based Sun People will also be joining in the festivities. Doors open at 8PM; $10 advance tickets, $12 at the door. Proper ID required. Check the band’s Facebook page for more details.

Watery Love Performing w/Purling Hiss/Birds of Maya’s Mike Polizze on Bass at KFN July 23
Rock outfit Watery Love certainly carries a lot of star power in the local underground music community. Fronted by former Clockcleaner and mastermind behind Richie Records/TestosterTunes blog Richie Charles, the band has already attracted Espers songbird Meg Baird to be its original drummer before leaving for the fleece-weather climate of San Francisco and Kurt Vile to volunteer to come in for a tryout on bass. And just last week, Richie tweeted an Instagram pic with the caption – “Another over-qualified musician-type agrees to play bass guitar for Watery Love.” Well, that photo was of Purling Hiss/Birds of Maya schredder Mike Polizze. So if you’ve ever wondered what Polizze would sound like dropping bass bombs, then head on over to Kung Fu Necktie tonight where Watery Love will be joined by Taiwan Housing Project (ex-Harry Pussy, ex-Little Claw) and No Bails. Kung Fu Necktie, 1250 N. Front St., 8pm, $10, 21+ – Alexis V.
The Vandelles are back with “Strange Girls Don’t Cry” – live at Pianos on 07.25
Fans of The Jesus & Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine, and everything that’s melody and noisy guitar at once, rejoice! Staple of the NYC shoegazer/noise rock scene The Vandelles are about to celebrate the release of their sophomore album "Strange Girls Don’t Cry," with a show at Pianos on July 25. The band recently unveiled the video of single ‘Miles Away’ – check it out below.
From The Deli NYC’s online music submissions: Dash Hammerstein
An unlikely combination, the music of Brooklyn piano-based rock group Dash Hammerstein sounds sort of like putting the Silver Jews into a bar with Wings and The Violent Femmes and admiring what drunken mess you’ve caused.
‘134340 Pluto’ (streaming below), from their latest EP ‘Old Country,’ opens like just another night at the bar, until the hook comes in and all kinds of surprising melodic journeys are encountered along the way. The night proceeds from there through five tracks, each with their own unique ways to declare the night is won, especially in album closer ‘Black Wax.’ The band swings their way around a piano like a Gibson SG lit up by twin Marshall stacks, and are just as pretty and danceable at once. Sober or not, this band will compliment any late night evenings. – Mike Levine (@Goldnuggets)

Distant Correspondent announces debut Self-Titled Album
What do you get when you combine a spoken word artist with the guitarist/singer from NYC metal band Goes Cube? Not what you’d expect (not sure whatever exactly you’re expecting anyway…). Distant Correspondent merges these widely differing talents into a very unlikely scenario: There’s a world of hazy moodiness here, on the level of The Jesus and Mary Chain’s swirling shoegazery: thick guitars and gorgeously arranged harmonies.
When David Obuchowski and Emily Gray met up after anonymously listening to each other’s music for years, the sum they created is truly bigger than the parts. We are looking forward to their debut dropping later this year. Preview the haunting track ‘Listen’ below to hear some of Emily Gray’s spoken word, and look forward to their self-titled debut album due out October 22nd. – Mike Levine (@Goldnuggets)

Hezekiah Jones (a.k.a. Raph Cutrufello) recently got married, and recorded a song for Slowcoustic‘s Cover Project for Seattle singer-songwriter Damien Jurado (Secretly Canadian). Below is his version of Jurado’s "Shannon Rhodes,"which is off the LP And Now That I’m In Your Shadow and is available for free download. Hot Victory tape release at The Shakedown in Bellingham 7.26
Let’s be honest. We live in a world with dub-step phone apps and computer programs that embolden almost-drummers everywhere to pump out some really average beats, pick a cool name, and call themselves a band. Perhaps it is that very fact that makes a band like Hot Victory stand out so brilliant; no laptops, no click tracks, no pre-fab beats. Hot Victory is a two piece band consisting of Caitlin Love (Drums/Triggered Synths/Monotron/Shakers/Gong) and Ben Stoller (Drums/Triggered Synths/Programming/Control Station). The flawless duo has just released NEXUS, a three song EP that they said was "meant to challenge the boundaries of what two drummers can perform in a live setting." Challenge they do, pushing themselves to incorporate amazing tempos with hypnotic synths live, on stage, and with total precision. All three songs on NEXUS are ruthlessly energetic and dynamically entertaining, and the fact that they were each recorded live is good news for anyone who still believes in the experimental ambient art-form, or just plan good music. July 26th at 8:00pm, Hot Victory will be making believers out of the folks lucky enough to be at The Shakedown in Bellingham, WA. Sharing the bill is Lozen, Qui, and Bali Girls; an impressive line-up. And all for $6. – Joy Pearsons
Truth and Salvage Co. release LP “Pick Me Up”
Not only did the six members of Truth and Salvage Co. have enough wits about them to move from LA to Hendersonville, they even named their sophomore album "Pick Me Up." While the West Coast was the perfect ground to foster relationships with Chris Robinson and the Avett Brothers, a strong fan base was growing in the South for their down home sound and cheeky, heartfelt harmonies. There are two chances this Tuesday to benefit from their new proximity: 6pm for a free in-store performance at Grimey’s, and 9pm for their show at Exit/In.
Here’s the album first single "Appalachian Hilltop" – LA could never fully appreciate the ukulele, anyway. – Terra James-Jura
